Friday, the 13th duh duh duh...

Class Notes on Current Events:

  1. Open Thoughts on Open House - Thank you to Parents/Guardians (and students)!
  2. "Current Events Mondays First Block Day of the Week" (Find Template Here) ---Each table group member chooses a different region to find a current event in the news (Local/State/National/Global or International)---National just involves the U.S., Global or International involves more than one country (Of course, news tends to get murky quickly, so use this as a loose guideline.) Come ready to discuss!
      1. The following suggestions may overlap:
    1. local news sources: Woodinville Weekly, The Patch, Seattle Times
    2. state news sources: KIROKING5KOMOKCTS9Seattle Times
    3. national and global/international news sources: BBCNational Public Radio (NPR)ABCFOXNBCCNNCBS, etc.
  3. Fast Forward: Columbus --> European Settlements --> 13 colonies
    1. Crash Course U.S. History #1 (CLICK HERE)
    2. Ch. 1 (Chapter Summary) in 2 pages, Review Questions #1, 3, 5 (no online version)
  4. Turn in Notebook, Please!
